Chardham Yatra in the state of Uttarakhand, also known as the Char Dham, is a pilgrimage for Hindu religion. The Chardham Yatra consists the pilgrimage to four holy destinations of the Hindus: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
It is believed that doing this yatra, a person gets Moksha(nirvana).
Depart for Barkot from Haridwar Arrive Barkot and check into the camp /resort.
Barkot is situated at an elevation of 1,220 meters above sea level and an ideal destination to stay for pilgrims visiting Yamunotri Dham. Distance from Yamunotri temple is approx 42kms.
From Barkot, one can easily view magnificent peak of Banderpoonch.
OVERNIGHT IN BARKOT
After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti and start your trek to Yamunotri for 6 kms.
You may opt to hire Pony/Doli (on direct payment).
After having a bath in Surya Kund (hot spring), visit the Yamunotri temple for Darshan and Pooja of pious mother “Yamuna ji” at Divya Shila.
Yamunotri Temple is situated at 3290 meters above sea level. The Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is committed to Goddess Yamuna, who is regarded as a daughter of the Sun God - Surya Dev.

Later, return to Jankti Chatti and drive back to Barkot.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Uttarkashi.
Upon arrival check-in to the hotel.
Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi at an altitude of 1158 m above sea level. meaning Kashi of the north also known as Somya Kashi. Uttarkashi is a religious place for spiritual and adventurous tourism. Uttarkashi town is also called as Shivnagri. The town has number of temples and ashrams.
Later, visit Vishwanath Temple- the most important and ancient holy shrine in this region. Of the many temples in Uttarkashi, the temple of Lord Vishwanath is unrivalled in importance. Shiva, the presiding deity of this temple, is worshipped all day here. Every evening, visitors are greeted by the sound of bells, and the chanting of mantras by pundits at the puja.
OVERNIGHT IN UTTARKASHI
After an early breakfast, depart for Gangotri Dham via picturesque Harsil Valley along with the Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas.
Arrive at the temple for Darshan and pooja.
Gangotri- Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and origin of river Ganges. It is on the Greater Himalayan Range, at a height of 3,100 metres (10,200 ft). According to popular Hindu legend, it was here that Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. The original Gangotri Temple was built by the Nepalese general Amar Singh Thapa.
Afternoon, drive back to Uttarkashi.

On arrival check, and overnight stay.
Guptkashi-Known for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi (Kashi). The other well-known temple here is dedicated to Ardhanareshvara, a half man half woman form of Shiva and Parvati. The name Guptakashi has legendary significance linked to the Pandavas, the heroes of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Its religious importance is considered next to that of Varanasi, believed to be the most pious of all Hindu pilgrimage sites. OVERNIGHT IN GUPTKASHI guptkashi DAY 6 - GUPTKASHI -KEDARNATH - GUPTKASHI After an early breakfast, transfer to the helipad for flight for Kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple is the 1000 years old temple with a carved exterior is located in a courtyard protected by Nandi bull. This spot has great significance in the legendary Mahabharata epic. Inside the main sanctum is one of the 12 naturally formed 'Jyotirlingas' of India. The temple has carved shapes of the Pandavas, and Lord Shiva. Later, fly back and transfer to hotel in Guptkashi.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Badrinath.
Arrive Badrinath and check into the hotel.
Badrinath Temple-Where Lord Vishnu pondered under a Badri tree for thousand unremitting years and taught us a definitive method for welfare of humankind is exceptional on the planet. Today, this temple is considered as one of the holiest Hindu temples and is additionally one of the 108 Divya Desams, sacred holy places for Vaishnavites.

OVERNIGHT IN BADRINATH
Early this morning, after a bath in the Taptkund, visit & Darshan of Badri Vishal. Brahma Kamal is significant for Pind dan Shradh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinath Ji.
Tapt-Kund-Just beneath the Shree Badrinath Ji temple lies Tapt Kund or hot sulfur spring that has a high therapeutic worth. It is a freshwater pool with the washing region of 16.1/2 feet by 14.1/4 feet. Wetting ones self here - in Tapt Kund is viewed as a decent restorative cure for skin illnesses.
Narad Kund-Narad Kund is close to Tapt Kund. It is accepted that the Badrinath icon was acquired from this kund. Narad Kund boiling hot water spring is situated under the Garur Shila and holds a therapeutic worth. Vyas & Ganesh-Gufa-Vyas & Ganesh-Gufa cavern is situated in the Mana Village alongside numerous different caverns.
